Need to Vent!!!
Does this sound right? I drive a 92 Civic hatchback with a second gen jdm B16, Dynomax exhaust, aem cold air intake with body kit, stereo and 17 inch rims. I raced my buddy who drives a 96 hatch with a 2001 B18 and slightly reduced in weight. He beat me by two car lengths. Also, someone with a stock 89 si hatch with stock wheels and reduced in weight (I think he is around 200 lbs lighter) beat me by one car length. And, to top that, my brother with a 97 Tiburon, with exhaust, cold air intake, header and cams beat me by half a car length. I know the B18 could spank me, but what about the others? Thanks, needed to vent!!!!
Most 17's have a lot more rotational mass then say a 15" wheel and that's probably not really fun for ur B16 which has less torque to turn. Also which B18 does ur friend have?? B, C1, C5??? My friends raced a long time ago one has a GSR in his EK with a Skunk manifold and a CTR intake cam the other had a 94 hatch with a B16 in it. At the track the EG ran 13.7 on slicks and the EK ran like 14.2 but on the street there is no way that the B16 can keep up even in the lighter more aerodynamic chassis. It's all good tho cuz now the EG has a built GSR in it and his best run on little MT 20x6x14 is 12.72@106. He's waitin on his M&H 23x9.5x13s to come in and once he does it should pull easy 12.5's. Have fun

and how do you feel when a PUNY D15 SOHC leaves everyone in the dust?
I don't care what motor you have, it comes down to 2 things.
Driver + Tuning
I got 135 hp out of a 102 hp motor with just simple bolt on's and tuning.
Then I went SOHC VTEC.
