Default NDRA question

So whats the deal with all the classes stating the cars now have to be 93 or newer? Now the car weve been building for the last year or so is pretty much worthless? or am i reading this wrong? Were building an 85 z for street tire class btw.

I think the 93 or newer rule applies to the new domestic cars that are allowed to run in one of the classes... nowhere else.
