That mph cannot be right. what was the 60ft? Not to sound like a hater. It looks very questionable.

MPH can fall off fast. If he just let out past 1000 foot the MPH could fall from 145 to 137 easily and only kill ET by a couple hundredths. I thought he got a little wacky at the end of the track?

I understand. There is noting wrong about questioning it. But I'll just wait to see what tony says because everything is just 2nd hand info..

With a bit more seat time, and a bit more boost, Andrea will have that car in the low 11's easy.. Mad props to Andrea soon-to-be-Evans..

No doubt. Her MPH is low 11's status for sure. I hope she takes the event. That would be sick for them.

I was at the track all day..just got home. The yellow car from CO that ran 9.7@13x went across the line almost sideways which had to kill mph. Oak's prelude oiled the track down right before the 1/4. Alot of people saw it in the stands but no officials noticed it. The yellow car was next in that lane and lost control as soon as it hit it. Officials STILL did not notice it untill about 3 people came over the wall and ran out on the track. It was pretty bad IMO.

Tony was moving...the 60ft was amazing if its correct

Yeah Today was a good day, but as soon as the sun went down the temp dropped considerably, we just got back to the hotel.

Man, so far AZ has a pretty weak turnout. Hope more racers attend tomorrow's qualifying rounds.

Just talked to my buddy Big Mike ( helping out Jimenez ) and he talked to Tony. I guess the 9.45 was incorrect. He did run a 9.80. That in itself is insane, considering that the car is so new! Great job Tony!!!

That's a shame. 9.80's still flying though.

The 9.4 and the 9.7 passes were not legit. Tony's slip said he rana 1.2X 60' which is pretty much impossible (motec is good, but not that good)
the 9.7 slip said he ran a 3.8 330' which is not going to happen either. Congrats to Tony on the 9.80 pass. The guy who bought my car has run a 10.2.

Haha, i think Art probably posted that before i even knew what i ran. My guys were on the phone as soon as the numbers came up i'm sure! lol After getting the slip i knew it was off. The yellow civic from colorado ran before me and went 9.7 @ 132, 3.8 330', definitely something wrong there. After i did the burnout, i went to stage and a crazy white guy came running out on the track waving his hands, Mike Laskey (thanks again!). Apparently Oak's prelude oiled the track and nobody noticed, even after the yellow car hit the wall because of it! So, cleaned the track and i went up. I passed the lights a little on the burnout and backed up. As i backed up the lights stayed on for a sec. I motioned to the starter about what was going on and he said it was just smoke and that it would go away in a sec. Sure enough, they went off. I think that the lights probably stayed on a bit after i left. My 60' was 1.25 and the 330 4.03. I honestly think it was a .70ish pass. The next pass it went 9.805 @ 152.59, but spun the tires alot more. There had just been ANOTHER oil down (the whole freaking track!) and the track was cold. As i was lining up for the burnout, i watched the car ahead of me go. It was a mid 11 sec. pass and the car was all over the track. I knew it was going to be a ride! lol I drove through a bunch of tire spin, almost lifted a few times but didn't, and went the 80. The datalogs showed the car hooked ALOT better on the first pass. So, as far as i'm concerned, the 80 is the real number, though i'll still hold on to that 9.45 time slip!

We'll see how it does on what's hopefully a better prepped track tomorrow. I think it's got a 60-70 in it as it sits.
