so i finally started my car after a few things over the winter and after a few ignition box problems i finally got the car started and it ran/idle for a few sec and i shut it off so i go to start it again and nothing the battery has full juice the starter is'nt even a year old but i noticed that when i turn the key the starter relay click so i swapped it out with 1 that i know works and same thing i checked all teh connections and there good i'm stumpped any 1 have any ideas / suggestions

grounds are all good i have a warranty on the starter so i'm gonna just swap it out and give that a shot see what happens

 

Sounds like you have a bad contact at the battery terminal. Clean it off real good and put it back. Same with the terminal on the starter.

 

same thing use to happen to me.. took the plugs out and cleaned them put them back in and wallah the car starts...

 

so the main relay clicks, but does the starter turn over or no?

x2 this has happen to us on more then one occasion. Have no idea why just removing the wires and putting them back on works.

I'm sure we have cleaned them before we put them on...

 

the terminals are clean the cables are pretty much new i called autozone and my warranty is still good so i'm gonna go have them check it and if thats the prob then just get a new 1 i'm pretty sure its the starter cuz i tried to jump the trigger to a 12v source and nothing happened

 

changed the starter and it fired right up!!!!!!!
