Thanks to all for the kind words and good seeing the fellow H-T members.

I knew this event wasn't going to be that great. We get there soon after the gates open and it takes 45 mins. to get through tech (only one tech guy). They call all the heads up class for first round qual. while the majority of people are still in tech. Next qual. we ran a 10.19 @ 150. With a 1.8 60ft spining in 3rd and 4th bad, pull the chute and lift the backend of the car OFF the ground (not fun). Puts us in the #4 qual. There were 12 people in the class. We show up for 1st round and only 6 of us show. While driving over to the lanes for 1st round I notice the clutch is not disengaging. I check it out seems fine, do the burn out its fine, pre stage, and then go to stage and the clutch engages pulling me through the lights. Weekend over. Thats racing.

Thanks,
John

Yea that black mr2 was my freinds cousins. He would have won but had no 4th gear. He was bouncing off the rev limiter in 3rd at like 135 mph. He pulled the faster time but the supra got him bc he left first. It was a good race though. That red corolla was sick when it ran like a 7.7 or something around their.

That red Corolla is Alex Dieguez from Rosado Racing. Built 3S-GTE MR-2 motor and the car has been 7.6 I believe. Good to see him make it to some events.

not sure how many people knew this but HUGE thumpup's to moroso motorsports park for honoring the tickets for the rained out NDRA events that were attempted to be held there for this local event.

it is awesome to see tracks really take care of the racers who attend the events on a consistent basis.

that was my friend charlie, he blew a rod through the block. he'll be back again, hopefully posting better times. his best is 12.9@???, on a internally stock d16 engine with a hearthy shot of nitrous BTW, he wasn't too happy about oiling the track
