Default Modification Tips: All help appreciated

I have been a mustang owner for the better part of my life. I still own one. However, I also have a family car. A 2003 Honda civic ex. I would like to get alittle extra punch out of her. I have never even popped the hood. What mods can I do and what results can I expect. Thanks.

Look here: https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum?id=32

Also conduct a search using the keyword "k20". Read as much as possible but, The k series engine will be the most practical.
