Default M.I.A.

Lots of missing in action people last weekend in AZ. Anyone have any details?

Scranton...
Mopar...
L Durst...
John Brown...
Otis Evans...
Rado...
Kenny Tran...

I know there are more, but this is just off the top of my head.

Sav did not go due to the distance....he will be at Moroso helping the Mazda team, and then at Maryland to race

Otis will be at Moroso; his car is going to be on point; he made alot of small changes that should make it move!

Distance was the enemy here; I personally thought the west coast racers would come out; but I have even seen them complain that Arizona is too far. Give me a break! When the schedules come out for next year, and there are still no races out there, you will know why.....

I think it was far drive for most of them at least. Most of them mentioned above are located in florida which is hell of drive but that my opinion probably all will be at the moroso nhra event

that is a bunch of rubbish... i'd be a lot more worried about the spectator count being an issue than the number of race cars... the few pics i saw of the stands didn't look good at all.

this event needed a solid gate count to pull nopi back out here for next year, i hope things were better than they looked.

Wow...ok let me set some things straight here.....
I'm far from MIA. I've been doing a radio show once a month called Speed Scene.
It's the only radio show that has a regular spot for Sport Compact Racing/Racers.
So please show some love so we can keep it going. We don't get nearly enough exposure as it is...

As far as any car goes everything is still in the works & you guys will be the first to know when I have something official to announce.

Now to all the people who are complaining about how far the west coast races are.... (putting SFI jacket & pants...plus my hans device, and helmet)...trust me the HARD CORE from california will not comlpain that Arizona is too far.

Have you ever stopped to put the shoe on the other foot ?
"Hmm i wonder what its like to live on the west coast and have to drive back and forth to ALL the races on the east coast?" I made it to 16 events last year in my tiny little truck and trailer. The majority of them were on the east coast....and NO I'm not asking for a cookie. But this is one of the things that is hurting our sport in my opinion. We ALL NEED to be there to support every possible event we can & trust me I know sometimes it's diffacult financially but I don't wanna here that it was too far or too much for just one event. Trust me its more expensive living on the WEST and traveling out to the EAST than the other way around...Why else do you think I want to move somewhere torward the middle of the country ?

Anyway enough of my little rant there...

To everyone that did come out to AZ to support

I wasn't naming anyone in particular, nor do I really care to, or is it really my business. I would like to see just as many cars at any race as the next guy. Obviously the people who are serious about racing would go to AZ and MUCH further as you just said, and on a regular basis. It is just the bulk of local 'semi-pro' type people who can make or break an event in any part of the country that do not seem to come out to the west events as much as the east.

The shoe used to be on the other foot; we lived in Texas and were tired of driving 12,16,20, 24 hours each way to go to all the races. So instead of trying to change the system; we moved where now most races are within 12 hours, and there are tons within 4 hours.

Jeremy I wasn't trying to single you out. It just happened to be your post that I replied to. I'm sorry if you took my reply in a personal way It was not intended as such...but more of a general response to some of the frustrations I've had with the "scene" in general as of late.

Everyone complains about whats wrong with the "scene" yet no one seems willing to look at themselves to see if they might be contributing to the problem. Once again I'm not singling you out but just stating something in general. We (everyone in this scene) need to do everything we can to support this sport of ours if we want to see it grow. I'm sorry if some people are taking this as I'm mad or complaining. I'm not ....I just happen to care A LOT about this Sport and want to do something about it...trust me there is more to come...I'm in the process of writing something and will post it on here soon.

Anyway just to give everyone an idea:
Heres our average drive time from Long Beach CA to Englishtown NJ
Total Est. Time: 42 hours, 6 minutes Total Est. Distance: 2774.10 miles

I would LOVE to live in TX
