A lot of people are actually running OBX LSD's around me. how are those for quality? Aren't the spool like a drag only thing? I'm wanting to drive the car everyday so. Price ain't an option anymore. Just let me know on what are some good LSD's. thanks

There not that much. You can get them for about $810 or so from earl I think. I remember seeing him list them in a post for about that much.

turbo 99si dartblockt70 meannie and he has no problem w/it.Occasionally driving it on
the street is not recommended though!! He is a nutcase and does from time to time.
Steady spinnin 26x9's all the way down the track.

quaife is the only way to go call earl he is buy far the cheapest.
Just remember spools and broken axles=wall or other car

OBX
May work but, they are a PITA to install correctly and clearance out because of inconsistent specs. Wouldn't trust it just for that reason alone as well as the axle problem that was occuring as well. Nothing like a Quaife...worth every dollar and carries a limited lifetime warranty! Just my .02

I would take his word. They specialize in building transmissions.

Many people have had good luck with the obx, but I personally would never run one... The other day a good friend of mine, Bought 2 diffs from obx and he disassembled them for inspection before installing them... (his perfession is in the transmission industry and builds many units for honda's) After inspection, he discovered that one of the units they sold him was actually used and damaged... 2 of the washers on the inside of the unit where broken and almost all of the where fatigued and not in new condition.... Now these where bought directly from the manufacture.. (a US wholesasle company). With that kind of quality control, or lack there of is enough for me to spend the money and get a quafe lsd.... Second to all this, you will not ever have to worry about trying to get the diff to release the axle c clip correctly.... If you look closley at the splines on the diff's, you can actually see that the splines are not even on center and the clearance from the front to back of the splines are different.... Like I said earlier in the post, some people have had good luck with the units and that is awsome for them.... But most people are not so critical when it comes to diff's also.... thats my 2 cent Jasen
