looking for help with lexan.
i dont know how you would measure it... its not a rectangle shape... just go with trial and error if you cant trace the stock windshield and just add i think its 1/4-1/2 an inch... it will get the correct bend when you screw it on the car...
I bought a piece of lexan 4x8 sheet for about $107.00 cut it out with a sawzaw after tracing from my stock windows. Make sure you have a good sander to smooth out any inperfections, I was able to make a front windshield 1 rear and 1 side and bought a small sheet from homedepot to finish the other side cut. Use 1/8 rivet and drill bit and space the rivet every 3 inches. If you can see from the picture the side allmost look stock but the rear has some waves in it.
My friends and i have all done our own windows. We've scored lexan from homedepot cause a friends cousin is a manager there so we've got a 4x8 sheet for 38$ and then just bought smaller pieces along the way. It's not hard at all. we usually trace a template onto some thin (1/16") plastic stuff cause you can cut it with scissors and make sure it fits then trace to the 1/8" lexxan and cut away, we've used everything from a die grinder to tin snips and sawzalls. not to bad.
what else works well is using the stock glass for template to get the size correct and then clamp the lexan down to the stock window and form the lexan to the glass with heat lamps.
