Default liquid/air intercooler

Did my search and didn't found what i was looking for. So i'm asking you.

I'm gonna have to modified the piping to give room to the traction bar and i was allready thinking about changing from air to air to water to air but i need some information and a little bit more knowledge so any help will be appreciate.

Wondering how to choose for the size and brand of the core. Do you go with hp ??? bigger is better ??? what's the secret ???

Also what kind of tank (capacity) and pump are you using for the set up ???

pics will be very appreciate.

Default Re: (DartDC2)

my setup is track only, so I am not running a heat exchanger... But my tank is a 3 gallon that I load up with ice/water...

Im running a PWR A/L ic... people say good & bad things about these... I have had good success with mine tho... The spearco core is generally considered the best, but you pay for them... Most of the A/L manufacturers could tell you what you would require for your setup... In my opinion the PWR that Im using would be enough for you... Mine is the 8" long, 6" diameter...

Im using a sherwood pump that I got at grainger.. Many people say that this pump is too much for this app. but again, it has worked well for me... It might flow too much if you were using a heat exchanger tho, because you want the water to stay in the heat exchanger long enough to actually cool down...

I dont know if this helps, its kinda just some random thoughts...

good luck.
