With liberty's setup, It means solid shifting and more tq managing abilities. Check out http://www.libertysgears.com

They are doing the billet case to eliminate case flex that is happening to all the high tq guys too. You've go to imagine that the angle cut gears tend to put strange loads on the case as well. One shaft is pushing up and the other down. I'm no expert though.

I know jj olsen has been testing those gears out, dont know if he'll have them in for maple grove. his car makes good power and launches hard, it will be a good test as to how the liberty works out.

we been working with craig since last Nov on the face-plate engagement gears, for our all-motor car, finally recieved them alittle over two months ago, but we had the wrong final drive for our engines this year, so have been waiting on a new first gear, but did do some testing with them before, and loved them, we just received the first gear today, so we will be doing some more testing shortly. have done some clutchless shifts with the set, not recomended, but craig was wondering if it was possible, and it is, but dont think it will last long that way with this setup, but full throttle shifts are very easy, and at time we had no shift retard setups, this setup, with a shift retard program, is going to be KILLER!!
