Default Lexan vs. Lucite??

I was just curious as to what all the other teams were using for their windows.
We have a huge problem with Lexan scratching real easy, and tonite I was in Lowe's and was looking at Lucite and I couldn't scratch it...what do you all think?

Use Lexan MR10 and it won't scratch. Should be cheaper than Lucite although it is twice as expensive as regular lexan. You can spray carb cleaner on MR 10 and it actually laughs at you.
You can buy it in your area at Regal Plastic

At that price, buy all that you can if it will work.

lucite is a lot cheaper then lexan. you can pick up a sheet of lucite local for 50$ canadian at home depot and for a sheet of lexan its 150 canadian from a supplier and for the mr10 its like 300 canadian. as for the differences i think lexan is stronger and lighter then lucite but i can find out the exact differences from my dad he sells the stuff.

lexan happens to be a brand name of a material called polycarbonate. Any polycarb material will work. I'm here to tell you, don't buy anything that is not scratch resistant. You WILL be sorry.

Well i just went what you are going through with my crx i went to lowes and home depot but all that stuff was to heavy and expensive i Finally found some stuff at Speed Machine they offered MR-10 which is pretty expensive and scratch resistence on both sides or you can get what i got which is LX-1 which is scratch resistence on one side only the stuff looks great and was perfect for my race car. The brand they carry is MB Products There number is 760-746-3117

it states that all 'lexan' windows must be a minimum of .125

as for MBs stuff, it is the exact same thing only it scratches like a MF
