Default Launching with 2 step (launch control)

i was wondering, when launching with launch control if you just dump the clutch.. is it the same as just dumping the clutch without using it.. is that what your suppose to do?.. is it as bad on the drivetrain as it is without using launch control?.. will it still break axles?..

of course it's bad, it's just strain on ur drivetrain.. but it's just the matter of how you preload your clutch when u launch, you might be burnin ur clutch but it'll be worth it when u don't break axles or mess other things up

the usage of a 2 step is to provide consistant launches, build boost at the line on turbo cars. you can still use it and preload, (i dont) but many do

yea.. i understand what your saying.. i may have kind of asked the question.. wrong.. with my 2 step when it launches it gets up to 6mph and then it starts to pull/spin and thats when all the power is started after 6mph....

maybe i should of said.. is it still neccessary to preload when using 2step.. since all my power isnt let loose until after 6mph..is it still hurting my drivetrain and stress on my axles?

preloading is recommended if u have stock axles, or if you don't want to break em.. and all the racing u do will hurt/stress ur drivetrain. but it should take the abuse if you preload right

Simple answer, yes always preload, it saves drive line parts.

Watch the videos of how the TurboStreet and Pro's do it.

Oh yea, don't do a dry hop after your burnout. That's when lots of guy snap axles.

For those with anti-lag, when do you get on it during staging? Once the amber light start counting down?

Im afraid to get on mine too long and damage something

Watch the vid's.

They seem to pre-stage, then pull up the e brake a bit, push the button, push the gas, let up on the clutch and drag the car into the second beam, pull up and the ebrake a little to stop the car. Wait for the lights. That's pretty much what Ryan has told me.

Big hint, if you see green, you lose. I taught Ryan that.
