cruise control going Nuts ???

Default cruise control going Nuts ???

yesterday i was driving and i set my cruise control and i sstepped on the clutch and the car startted revving,redlines as if i was in neutral and just floored the pedal so i quickly just turned the car off while moving and restarted it ....why would it do that??

I don't know much about cruise control on manuals, but I would guess the computer was just trying to maintain speed when you depressed the clutch, causing the rev. Same thing would happen when you are driving normally and step on the clutch w/out taking your foot off the gas. Just my .02 on the situation, don't know if it would be correct though.

i see what your saying,the thing is i used the cruise before when you hit the brake or the clutch slightly it turns off so i dont know why it did that

I'm just spitballin here, but maybe this would lead one to believe that the car did not recognize that the driver depressed the clutch, which would have otherwise caused it to drop out of cruise control, which it did not. Perhaps your clutch sensor has become disconnected or is malfunctioning? May be worth a look.

Once again, I'm only attempting to analyze the problem from the information given me, while at the same time maybe bumping this thread so you can get a more concrete answer from someone who actually knows.
