Default Lacking traction?

hmmm, i think i need new suspension or slicks

60' 2.277
330' 6.214
1/8 9.164 @86.16
1000' 11.640
1/4 13.708 @109.68

h22 in an EG with a 125 shot on it. Car spins through first and i have to modulate through second gear. Car is running a set of 225/50/15 bfg drag radials but i am thinking a set of 23x8x13 slicks might be in order with the omni drag setup since the car's *** drops badly on the launch.

Answer, guidance, calling me a moron for my plans, etc. And i am not spraying in first, just 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I was thinking of a quife but i don't know yet if i am keeping this chais or getting another eg and doing the h2b swap on it. I will see how much i like the h2b in the crx i am working on right now before i do anything to the trans.

What psi are you running on the BFG's?

I cant get my launch down with them either (i run the same size) but I do not spin through second at all.

I run 9 psi in mine, next time I go out I will try 7-8 PSI.

H22 w/ a 125 shot is A LOT of torque for a FWD car, **** thats like small V8 torque I bet!

12 psi. The way i was told to figure what psi to run by a bunch of v-8 guys i race with is to do a burn out and look at the mark. Lower the psi till you have a solid mark about the width of the tire. That psi will be your full contact patch. I found 10-12 psi is the best

And i found out i have a hurt engine. Got beat by a bolt on b16 crx at the races off the bottle. I have 35% difference on my compression test on clyinders 2 and 3 from a good cylinders 1 and 4. When i pressurized the 2 and 3 with air, i had a good amount of air blowing through the crankcase. Good by rings or ringlands.

Well i didn't see have any air coming through the coolant system so i really don't think it is a cracked sleeve

stock motor?

Build it and put a bigger shot on it, that should take care of ur traction problems.

See how u like the h2b, then put an LSD in either the H trans or the B, either way, ur going to need it.

Nippon type-s pistons with eagle rods. The head is built to rev to 10k and we have some crower stage 2 cams in there now. I was told that the rods will be able to get me higher up in the rpm range so i can start using those cams.

That is the plan with the h2b. If i like it in the rex, which i don't see how i can't(f-u cables!) then i will be hunting down another eg shell to swap into. And yes, an LSD is in the plans.
