Default kens kustom roll bar problem:

hey guys, i was wondering if anyone had the 6pt roll bar from kens kustom chassis. well im runnin into a problem. im "mocking" up the roll cage and i find out my sidebar will not fit past my sparco sprint seat. the seat is even "junior" sized. i got basically 3 options.
1. put a slight "kick" in the sidebar (but i think that would make it illegal)
2. get a wider main hoop
3. send it all back
anyone have any suggestions??
i did email kens just a few minutes ago but i thought i would also weigh my options from the HT members that know about cages. fabman, tony1???

how close is the main hoop to the b pilar ? is it tight or is there alot of space between the cage and main hoop ?

if it were up to me...id send it all back, take the car to a race car shop, have a custom 10 point chromoly cage put in that is tight up against the body.

i hate cages that arent tight. looks like a hack to me.

I agree, a pre fabbed cage is only so good. A custom one to your car would definitely be better. If you want to stick with it, then i'm pretty sure you can put a bend in it to clear.

well that was quick service. kerry from kens kustom PMed me through HT and also had read my email.
we can put a "kick" in the bar and still be legal. thank u kerry. he said this had happened to a previous customer and they also had sparco seats. so anyone with sparco seats ask kerry to put a "kick" in the sidebars for ya.
