the facility at jax is nothing compared to that of gainesville... you cant compare the home of the gatornationals to that of a dustbowl near the airport, or a 1/4 mile track to an 1/8 mile track for that matter
but ive pulled better 60's on a tuesday night at jax than any wednesday night at gainesville

I dont think anything in this world is worse than Orlando Speedworld
Its got a 1 lane road goin in and out of the track...
well i might not even call it a road...and then right on the other side of the road dividing the fence is a bunch of trailer homes...gots to suck living there...its like 50 ft away

orlando speedworld and jax raceways are worlds apart
people in jax would KILL for a facility like Orlando Speedworld
orlando speedworld is the home to the world street nationals, while jax raceways is best remembered for hosting the warped tour
the entrance into jax is a MUD road filled with horrendous potholes (they are BIGGGG), once the entrance road is conquered you then proceed to navigate the sandy return road(which is even slimmer than orlando's return road if you can believe it)...
there is a 20 foot concrete slab to park a trailer, and if you weren't the first or second car to arrive at the track your car and/or trailer will sit in the mud...
the track is only prepped one of the three days a week they run cars, and if the wind is blowing there is sand covering everything from the 100ft mark on to the end of the track...
for the faster cars, a portion of the shutdown area doubles as a straightaway for the CLAY oval track located on the facility... all this while the sounds of planes flying overhead can actually drown out the noise from the cars...
above that, the staff are THE most rude people you have ever met and will kick you out if you even appear unhappy, or living for that matter, it really depends on how bad their mood is that day... i say how bad their mood is because they always treat you like you were a piece of dirt(which is what there track is made of), its just a matter of the degree of anger they display on any given day
having said that, I still go b/c its the only local track we have(gainseville is an hour away) and racing is fun no matter what the circumstances are

Jax raceways are so bad the EPA will NOT let them sell the property. They dug down 30ft and still found oil. The only reason they are allowed to stay open is the fact that they are grandfathered in before the regulations......Oh and if you have a welded diff in a FWD forget trying to turn from the staging LANE to the starting grid....
