Default Innovative Solid mounts rusting?

Anyone else having a problem with stainless steel section rusting? I thought stainless wouldnt rust unless it came in contact with carbon steel like cutting with the same disk and what not. Kinda sucks I think. The car just sits in the garage and has been to the track 1 time before they started rusting. Anyone else got this problem?

i cant imagine why something as simple as motor mounts would be designed with rust able parts. Definitely a surprise.

It's just a little rust, pull the bolt out clean up the rust lube the bolt and put it back in.

I use anti-seeze compound on most bolts before I install them.

The ones sitting on the dinning room table haven't rusted. I moved them over the weekend.

I am not worried about it, it just looks like ****. Its the steel part where the rubber incert would have been. I mean it was starting to rust before we even tracked the car. I guess I could scuff them and paint/clear them or just rub some oil on them, but that requres removing them.....
So the Avid/Hasport/innovative, etc.. all the solid mounts rust?

im not worried about it, it just seems shotty, you can't see it unless you are literally hunting for it. Im gonna lube it up next time i have them out, might paint that bushing part silver to just prevent it all together.

There are different grades of Stainless steel. some are more resistant to corrosion.

Hey there just engine mounts. It would more then likely take decades both the rust effected the strength.

I know, I know, you thought you were buying high quality stuff.

Just kinda disappointing, no one wants an eye sore under the hood. One of the brands has an all billet one with just a small steel sleeve, may have to check those out.

i believe the first batch of these were not zinc coated like the new ones.

something happened with the original material for them to rust slightly.

no biggie. call up innovative. im sure there are only a couple in circulation with this problem..

ive never had a mount go in as easy as the innovative ones have. plus there super light.

I installed a set for a guy a few months ago. They look perfect. I think the first kits were not plated. The ones I put in Shine like the sun till this day.

I spoke with Innovative and they said the 1st sets were coated but it just wound up chipping off. I was told that they spoke with some of the racers testing and that the rust woudnt be that big of a deal since its a race car. I was recommended to spray them with wd-40 or something similar to keep them from rusting. Innovative was glad to answer any questions that I had.

The mounts are great, the fitment is excellent.
