Default Initial startup with Hondata S300

I opened a new "stockh22" configuration on my laptop, made some adjustments i.e. injector size, map sensor, etc. and saved as "inital startup" so i think i'm ready to go. my question is: Do I install the ECU in the car first, then plug up the laptop or how does that work?

Plug in the ECU, turn the key on, and upload the program to the ECU via the USB cable. You will need to update the USB driver on your laptop once the ECU is plugged in and the key is turned on. Open SManager and click on "help" and then "update USB drivers". Follow the prompts.
