It was in the pro rwd results, round 2.
I'm pretty sure the guy was referring to the fact that the FWD cars didn't run all that well in round 2 (only Hunt improved and only 2 out of 6 cars posted a decent time). Still not the best thing to say but I don't think he was saying the performance of the cars was subpar except for that round of qualifying.

despite the stupid ramblings of that writer, I feel the Pro FWD cars are putting on a good showing especially at a Powerade event. LOTS of spectators were getting their first looks at FWD Drag Racing and they were nothing short of impressed. One fan was overheard saying "201 mph, is that right?? holy **** that's unbelievable"
So many people were throguh the pits checking out the setups and I think it's a good move for our sport, hell It wouldn't be a bad idea for NHRA to pick up the profwd class for powerade next year...

pretty impressive what the cobalts are doing, you would think they have the same tuneup and everything by the numbers, but that is not the case at all. Congrats to RADO on the new best.
if the 6 will happen, it will be during 1st round tonight...they run at 6:30, right after the skoal funny car showdown...

damn jason went 7.19 and is number 3....profwd is amazing this year. congrats to everybody on new personal bests. 3 7.1's. thats awesome.
im amazed NHRA would post a quote like that. its almost like NHRA doesnt consider NHRA sport compact as part of its own. you would think that they would show a little more support for sport compact as it would only help NHRA out as a whole.

i feel you, but i think it would be even better if Lucas Oil picked up the sports compact series. But you do have a lot of divisional races...keeps expenses down, can get more regional sponsorship, and win a divisional championship and still can meet up at the POWERade events. But im not opposed to POWERade picking up NHRASC.

Results for Qualifying Round 3
CLERMONT, Ind. - INDY - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro RWD at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Manny Cruz Runs 9.978/101.92, Now #4
Best prior run: 8.706/156.50, Was #4
Cruz leaves really soft and then it didn't look like the car ever really went on boost.
Left Lane: Brad Personett Runs 6.421/217.98, Now #1
Best prior run: 7.097/213.87, Was #2
Right Lane: Gary Lee White Runs 6.544/210.83, Now #2
Best prior run: 6.645/208.30, Was #1
Personett spools up and blasts off the line. He lays down a historic run, the quickest and fastest pass ever for a Pro RWD. White also goes below the record, but it's gets there a few microseconds too late.
The standing record is 6.55 @ 213.13. Personett will have a few more passes in order to get a back up.
Gary running much better today!
ProRwd putting on a better show for them today

I'm pretty sure it was 6 but I don't want to check because I'm watching it on tv too
Either way, a big pass for that team in race day like conditions.
