Default idea for my EG build.

Im not about looks, i got a lip and a free Spoon CF duckbill. after the paint im done with that. im more into the motor than anything.

aiming for 750hp on a LS- NONvtec setup.
just wondering if theres anyone whos got some good tips over "just boost it"

i already have tons of ideas in my head just seeing what else is out there.

If you have ideas why don't you post them instead of this absolutely ambiguous post? Don't see how you're going to do it without boosting it so maybe enlighten people with you your current line of thinking.
Also check the Forced Induction thread if you want to see what is out there. You aren't breaking new ground nor are you the first to think about doing it.

Would 750HP be anywhere near streetable or even run on pump gas?

I can only imagine how hard it will be to work your clutch...

Well that's just it. He never said what purpose the car would be serving. Ambiguous.

first of all this was just a convo starter. doesnt hurt to have new threads that arent years old for nothing.

and for my build it would like this:

Bottom end:
LS block
sleeved/bored to 84mm
JE 84mm 10:1
Eagle Rods/rod bolts
Arp main cap bolts
ACL bearings
strock crank
morosso oil pan
ARP head studs (LS)

Head & Induction:
P8R head for the larger valves and ports
polished, 3 angle valve job maybe 5 if i had the bank for it
Crower 404's
Crower valvesprings/retainers
GE cam gears
Performer X manifold
Skunk2 Alpha 70mm TB
SPA top mount turbo manifold
Precision FMIC
Precision Billet 6765 w/ vband 46mm wastegate
RFL Bov cuz i want it Really f***in loud.
precision injectors lets just go with 1000cc to be safe.

Mfactory LSD
Already have a GSR tranny
ima stick with hockey puck motor mounts over 90A ones cuz my buddy is having better luck with the pucks
Stage 5 clutch
hondata S300 (gotta have boost by gear)
PLX wideband
caged

and for my goal its definitely for a drag car. but i will be driving it on the streets when its nice. im really going for 500hp so the turbo will be smaller, but wanting to know if there is LS builds out there that people do with out going Vtec. i havent been face to face with one so im going to do it out here.

There's a Forced Induction forum with plenty of high horsepower builds in it. You might have missed it.

I'm working on the same build, might wanna do a little more on your tranny. I'm starting with 700/750whp but I'm building it to be capable of 900+, thus I'm doing G Force Gear Sets, ID2000cc injectors, kinsler intake manifold, Motec M800, etc.. etc.. Not saying do gear sets on your tranny, just check out some reviews, see what its breaking point is. I'm going non-vtec as well, Tony1's Teg is non-vtec with over 1200hp.. But I'm also not looking at the streetability aspect of it as you are.

I'm looking at getting my non vtec ls swapped EK into the 500 hp range as well. Not sure what I want to do yet though.

see you guys get the idea of the thread. get people talking.

but yah ive seen people out here run surprisingly quick times with stock GSR gearboxes.
ive already replaced the synchros with full Synchrotech Carbon lined ones, and went through and welded some braces into my SCH, something like the SF modified one thats awesome, but a lot cheaper ha.

JFK i know used to run with a stock gsr gear set in his D2b setup before going to albins

The t1 car is a vtec motor but with a cam with no vtec lobe.

running a vtec motor with a vtec "killer" type cam is not the same as running a LS/b20 setup. the heads are shorter, flow better and have bigger valves from the get go. easier to build that way.

im tryna see what a real NONvtec setup can do on boost. thats why im sticking with the motor "no replacement for displacement" and going with the biggest non-v b series i can. essentially a b20 made out of an LS. P8R head of corse.

To both of your questions. No. Unless you do a boost by gear set up.

Ive done many ls setup, 750hp will not be a problem, i made 775 on a pr8 head and s372 turbo. Will need to get custom valves made for the P8R head.

^^why would you need custom valves? I know a few guys makin 800+ on stock valves. The only thing the p8r head needs is good spring+ret and a port job. They already out flow the standard ls head do to the o/s valves and port design.

Besides this car will be finished right eric

the cars gonna be N/A for a little while do to money constraints and saving for the turbo setup. thus the idea for 10:1 compression on the sleeved block.

but im gunnin for the skies when i turbo it

750hp + money constraints sounds like disaster in the making

mine runs stock valves at 550+ daily driven for the last 3 years and never had a problem. so do you just change things because you can or from the fact of knowing you have to?

From fact, thats why theres companies around making these parts. i don't know what you do with your car, but if you are racing and expecting to make 700+ HP and actuall race the car, i would get some valves. they can be stock size

And if you read further into my posts I state that it will take time to finish do to money constraints. As in I don't make 10,000 a month to blow on my car so I gotta save more for it from each paycheck. But it will get done. And right the first time
