Default ID2000 injector question

So im needing to upgrade from my ID1000's to the 2000's and was wondering what about the injector makes it soo much more expensive vs the 1000's. They are both high pressure capable injectors arguably the best injector on the market but still. They both appear to be a similar design to each other just one with a larger nozzle and probably slightly different interior components.

Like to get some input on why the price difference is soo much id1000 vs id2000. I mean its over double. If you look at most injectors on the market you basicly have your choice of size when it comes to aftermarket injectors price staying relatively if not the same per size. Good example are the MSD, Precision, Nismo, and so on. You have your choice of size and all of them are roughly the same price.

Again I dont mind shelling out the money to get the ID2000's as im pretty set on using them being they have been rated #1 injector out there so thats what im going with but man. Thats a hit at $940 bucks for a set of 4.

Any info would be greatly appreciated for justifying the extra cost. Thanks

Buy another set of ID1000's, that way you can run Q and C if you wanted to. As long as your managment allows for sequential injection.

I already had the manifold made for single injectors. im using and AEM EMS so yes it has the capability to run another set of injectors but I really dont want to go that route. Figure Ill sell the basicly new ID1000's and just get the 2's. No big deal. Just wanted to hear an explanation for the over 2X cost of the 2000's when most other manufacturers price their injectors relatively close or the same no matter the size. Im not worried about the money to buy them just curious more than anything.

If you look at it this way. Cost to have the manifold modified $200, cost for an additional fuel rail 120.00, cost of extra braided fuel lines and AN fittings 100.00, cost of time to tune the second set of injectors ??? Get where im going. lol. It works out to the same if i can sell my ID's for around 375-400. Joe hit me up with a deal on the id2000's so Im gonna stick with the single set of injectors. I can retune my map very easily using the AEM program for the 2000's so again its a no time at all vs a decent chunk of tuning and setup for it.

The cost of the core ID2000 injector is almost 4 times the cost of the core ID1000 injector. I would assume lower production volume on that injector at Bosch has a significant effect on the price of it.

Makes sense. Didnt know it was that much different from the 1000. Figured it would be a simple nozzle design different and about it. Being both are a high pressure capable injector. Good info Tony thats what I was looking for. Just an explanation of why the big price difference.

Thanks
