How to pull an evo
So im looking to buy a crx, and the plan is to pull an evo (1/4 mile). I know that most evos run 13 stock. My question is the power plant. For this build i am unsure of the power and parts needed. At the moment i have a starting block in a b18A1. The plan is to make this into LS/vtec, however I am still open to options. How much money would you spend and what would you buy to pull an evo? Would you bore the B-series out? Opinions anyone?
bore it .020 over. RS machine P30 pistons. Stock rods modified to fit arp rod bolts. Vtec head. Blox Type C Camshafts. Performer X Intake Manifold w/68mm TB. Tune that BITCH.

With a well-built NA B18 or B20/vtec, you should be able to take a STOCK Evo, especially if you run on slicks. If the EVO has any mods at all, all bets are off.

All you need is one of each of these:

Oh and some duct tape! Drink the beer well you guys tape the turbo to the manifold, then when you race him, if he pulls ahead you can use the bottle as a weapon and throw it down on the ground so he gets flat tires! Boom goes the dynamite! You win!!

I would look for trailer hitches that attach to more than the trunk pan and bumper support.
As long as it attaches to something sturdy that isn't rusted out (like the "frame rails") and have a decent clutch I think you should be good.
I've hauled the equivalent of two motors (b18s) in the backs of several different civics, and integras and never had a problem minus some of the seams pulling apart a little in the trunk floor.
Good luck!
