ok this is my first time coming to drag froum and i searched but i wouldnt find anything maybe i am not good it search. but anyway i finally tuned my ls turbo in a integra shell. it pulled out 262whp at 8 psi. this will be my first time going to the track and running it so i dont want to look like a dum *** burning my tires on the line. i am running on street tire and was wondering where to launch on. i was thinking about launchin between 4000 to 4500.

 

well, if you are on street tires, traction is a loosing proposition, the best thing to do is rev between 3-4 and feather the clutch the whole way out till you get some vehicle speed then come off of it the rest of the way.

 

if you run on slicks its good to leave at the rpm where your hp and tq cross on your dyno graph that is if you tires and drive train are up to it

theoretically every engine would be 5252rpm.

 

I tried launching at 4500rpm terrible 60fts. So, somebody told me to launch at 7000rpm with slicks and tire psi at 7. I tried it and it shaved 1.2 sec off my 60ft times. I now have to try to figure out the other gears.

when I went to the track last year I tried a bunch of lanch rpms my best was about 5500 and when I get home I looked at my graph and thats were my crossover was.

 

my best 60' was on an 8200 launch. i dont think my crossover is that high.
