how do traction bars work?

From what I know, they prevent the gears in the tranny (differential if you want to call it that) from climbing each other, which prevents wheel hop.

correct me if im wrong... they mainly prevent deflection of the lca's forward while at the same time stabalizing the whole suspenion system allowing things like toe, caster etc to stay consistent therefore allowing it to work properly, also by maintaining all that stated above, it transfers the power better to the chassis & ground

o yea, im talkin about radius arm style traction bars

Yea I'm curious about this too. I'm not too educated on suspension, but it replaces the stock cross member right? They look like they bolt to the same things as a crossmember, so what gives?
