I'm gonna go with dunkd and say probably not.
Unless you are getting the tires to teh point where the rubber is melting off teh tire, but then you will have more issues...lol

all depends on the tire. Check with the manufacturer, BFgoodrichs really like the heat. My experience seems to show that a quick scrub, 3 second burnout is all you need. Get any rocks, debris off them and get them warmed up just a little.
Do it on the dry pavement in line with the track of a real sick car that just did a burnout before you. Scrub the tires a few seconds and then roll straight through to stage. Try to stay on that slick cars lines.
Radials can get greasy if you burn them out to much but takes a lot!
