Default heating radials

I herd that if you heat up radials they will get oily and grip less then when dry. is this true? sorry for the noob question.

I'm gonna go with dunkd and say probably not.

Unless you are getting the tires to teh point where the rubber is melting off teh tire, but then you will have more issues...lol

all depends on the tire. Check with the manufacturer, BFgoodrichs really like the heat. My experience seems to show that a quick scrub, 3 second burnout is all you need. Get any rocks, debris off them and get them warmed up just a little.

Do it on the dry pavement in line with the track of a real sick car that just did a burnout before you. Scrub the tires a few seconds and then roll straight through to stage. Try to stay on that slick cars lines.

Radials can get greasy if you burn them out to much but takes a lot!

Drag radials no matter what brand or size needs to be heated up to grip better. Each tire has to reach a certain surface tempature for maximum performance.
