Default H22 wtf

i recently traded cars for a 1994 cx civic hatch with a moded h-series
heres the mods list-
JDM H22A no LSD
RM H22 vtec retainers
RM H22 vtec valve springs
Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel
Skunk2 Cam Gears
Aem Fuel Rail w/fuel gauge
ACT Clutch street/strip
ACT Extreme pressure plate
Greddy Timing Belt
H22 auto tensioner to manual tensioner
Avid Mounts
Aem intake
P28 Chipped w/uberdata
Maxbore TB 66mm
Aebs head studs
Forbidden Motorsport short throw shifter

and i know the guy i traded pretty well and he was tellin me a car like this is good to pull some wrx maybe some camaros, which ive looked into, and imo i think it should also

but i can barely pull a rsx- type s with boltons, i shifted to about 7500 rpm every time, it was a rolling pull and he called it and got the jump but i still barely pulled away.... is this normal? and if not what could be wrong with the car?

it was on kumho ecsta tires, and had two people around 130 pounds each in it at the time..

any help would be greatly aprreciated thanks!

Your motor sounds fairly stock to me with a few bolt ons. I think it sounds reasonable. I can say this, there is no way you are going to pull on an sti with that motor combo with stock internals.

2 X 130lbs... = an extra 260lbs plus you as a driver?

could mean something, i dont know.

Sounds like you need to put some cams in there... its got everything except them.

like others have said, you had a considerable amount of extra weight in there.

another thing to consider is the gearing of the H22 vs the K20... Ive driven both and really enjoy the K20 gearing, and from my understanding, the H22 gears are really long.

i think even with the weight you had you should have beat an rsx pretty easily. do you hear vtec come on? it should be damn noticeable when it does.

doesn't sound right to me. I had a friend with a 93 hatch, h22 with I/H/E and he raped by buddys I/E GT. Both are good drivers.

you need cams, maybe lose the balance shafts, this will boost oil pressure, and get a 1/4 time slip , this can be analyzed... dont street race!!!

good plan , also noticed he said he was revving to 7500... im not sure how high a mildly modded H22 should be revving but that sounded a lil low to me. i could be completely wrong though

I can hang fairly well with RSX-S's in my 2800lb accord so more than likely you have some major issues.

in my coupe that weighed 2460 with 2 passengers I beat a turbo'd d16 on 11lbs...not to mention what I would do to an rsx-s...btw that was with a k20...i thought h22 swapped cars were fast chuckle chuckle...

Shifting at 7500 on a stock tach? Theres part of your problem......
Spin it up to 8000 and see what happens....
My best near stock H22 runs were shifting at 8000 on the tach which is more like 76-7700.
Has this car ever been dynoed? That could be another problem......
I would start looking into some Cams as well.....Skunk2 Stage1's or Pro1's would be perfect!
The shop EG EuroR H22 went 12.7 untuned on slicks@1.72 60'......that was i/h/e shifting at an indicated 8000 or so.
Tune it and shift at 8000 FTW!
