Is the one t1 sells complete and ready to install or you still need the trans joint? I'm thinking of getting one of this.

Ok thank you Tony. I was just wondering what it meant for this on your product details:
The linkage will be sent with everything complete except the last U joint at the trans. The tube going into the U joint will be left long and the installer will have to trim to length and either weld or bolt the joint/tube together while it's on the car. The kit comes complete with the G Force shifter, shift lever, shift ****, mounting bracket, shift linkage and installation instructions. All hardware is included and it also comes with a new roll pin for the trans as well as the clip that goes over it.

which part of the shifter you guys are machining? the top opening or is it internal?

that is kind of a generalized answer, what specific, from what I imagine from reading this thread the original Gforce shifter has limited side play, so the side walls may need to be shaved down a few MM, but I want to make sure this is the case, I haven't recieved mine, yet but its the original one from Gforce, previous user claims no shifting issues.

Congratulations! You want a cookie? I did not ask all that, I ask specifically what is shaved, not for an ***-hat answer. I am sure I will figure it out, but your answer proved that you did not do your own modification, or you would gladly put some words together without thinking you have to give a blueprint. A normal answer would be like: the outer plate, or the inner guides on the inside. calm down man. let someone else answer if you don't know.

I did not do my own installation but when I received the kit it didn't need any modification except for the linkage length. The shifter mounting location on the car had to be opened a little to fit the shifter but it was no big deal and all the nuts and bolts needed to secure the shifter came with the kit.

I think the hardest part is making sure that the linkage length is correct so it does not pop out of gear. But the T1 kit is a real nice piece and it shifts so nice..

I'm also curious about what t1 machines on the shifter. I picked up a used unit on here last year and it kept popping out or wouldn't go into gear with solid mounts still. Wondering if it was an earlier unit before they started modifying them. I need to sack up and take this thing apart, but of someone has some insight that would be helpful.

if you take the top plate off with the 4 socket head screws and just shift it forward and backward, you will see where it hits; that is what needs to be shaved down to get more "throw". the area that is already slanted is where it ends up binding.

Proves that you're a moron.. I do ALL of my own work even the tuning. Not only have I done my shifter but at least 5 others, but I don't need to show dipshits like yourself.

******** like you want everyone else to "show" them what to do. You need a blueprint. With the questions you ask I'm sure you cant find your *** from a hole in the ground.

You better tell them what kind of tools you used for this massive project. You don't want anyone running around the garage aimlessly.

I used a left-handed crescent wrench. Only thing I found useful.

What a ******* troll.

Disregard this has been. He's probably just bent out of shape he can't swing his dick with any of the big players in the game right now.

If I'm wrong about that- then he is obviously going through menopause. At that age it really makes sense.

dude you have issues, I can make a suggestion/solution for you but I may get banned if I make graphic, it involves a female.

with that said, I've been a mechanic for 15 years, builds my own motor and everything else. you are an idiot because none of post I ask anyone for instructions on doing anything. you the immature idiot decided to get disrespectful, and continues with your ignorant replies. as I said I bought a shifter which is not in my possession yet so I have no idea what its like but I am sure I will figure it out, I ask a simple question just for general idea, not details and you came on here like a idiot. I bet you are like 4ft tall 300lbs and gets beat up all the time. this thread does not pertain to go back to reading your self defense magazines. I am really trying my best to keep it civilized and show the respect you did not show me. your help is not welcome you have not contributed anything here.

you don't know me so choose your words wisely. but I know everything about you base on your replies. you are an idiot and an obvious victim of bullies. I can help you if you want to speak offline to help you with your mental issues.

Only thing you know about me is what you've read from race results.. Your attempts at insults are the furthest from the truth as you could get.. A mechanic of 15 years dont mean you know what your doing. Asking what to do with a part as simple as a shifter shows just how good you are..

im sorry its 13 degrees in my garage currently and i would like to have a game plan before I go out there and start grinding away at a $500 shifter.

do you accept my apology rick? maybe your whiny dramatic comments on here are why you arent taken very seriously.....it doesn't matter what your race results are or how great of a mechanic you are with an attitude like that.

is there something wrong with being resourceful? thats what this forum is for isnt it?
