Default getting to track on drag radials.

I live 90 miles from the track. I wanted to get a drag radial but seems like a long drive for a slick. I just bought some xrcoss aa a traction soft tires with a softness rating of 200. I know i wont need to do a burn out with these bfg gfroce.. track rules appear to say you must drive in on what you are running to be in street class. only after some times on a stock ITR before i boost it.please let me know how any of the companies drag radials hold up over distances. thanks open to any ideas.

You will be fine. I daily drive tires softer than BFG's and I daily drove on BFG's for years.

Thanks for the intel. Tires seem to be the one thing that are so subjective. I have a hard time trying to figure out what to. thanks again

take your other wheels with you.... stop at a gas station closer to the track and change wheels before you get there? less miles on soft tires .... and you drive in on the correct tires.

I have driven my Integra to the track on my Mickey Thompson drag radials a couple times and it's about a 1 1/2 hour drive each way. I even hit a rain storm on the way home one time and had no issues on the highway. It was pretty nice racing in the drag radial class, running 11's and driving the car right home without touching anything. I wouldn't do it regularly as they wear pretty quickly but it's definetly possible.

I drive mine everywhere on drag radials. You'll be fine. My last set of MT's lasted 6000 miles, and that was with a ton of burnouts and passes down the track.
