You must tig cromoly, but if you get mild steel you can mig it. I got the mine for $139 (some special, but reg. $169) with $70 shipping. Check it out.

Ok, now I was all hell bent on getting cromolly and all that, but the cost vs. the weight savings didn't seem to make sense for a street car. I never located actual numbers, but a chassis shop told me approx. 30 pounds would the difference between the two.

I think my above link explains how I feel about what I got. Good luck. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Thanks alot dude for that thread, you just gave me so many more options

Actually, I only gave you one. lol.

After all the stress of figuring out what I wanted to get, I'm glad I didn't spend more than I had to.

Where did you get the parachute from, also does paracutes come in mild steel?

if you plan to go faster than 135, you will need a 10pt. 6pt is only goo if you are faster than 11.49 but slower than 9.99 and not trapping over 135mph.

Thus is true. I took seen4evers advice and am adding the front section and the 2 extra middle bottom bars. I was not aware of the 135mph limit myself. I trapped that last year a few times and never got questioned. Lucky I guess. Anyone know who would just sell the top/front section that goes down through the dash? I already have the 6 point section installed and the extra bars for the middle bottom.

That price wasn't from you guys, but from another shop. He said you guys are the ones that never answer the phone.

the 135mph rule just came out for the 2006 SFWD rules. T4 hasn't announced thier rules yet. sucks because i don't know if i'm going to throw in the extra 4 points for my car just yet.

i agree with you 100%, but i dont think he meant it in a bashing way, i have dealt with many " american " car a chassis shops in the past and you just dont get respected with most of them, i would rather take my car to a shop that deals with the sport compact scene any day over an american car shop as long as their work is good, i have seen some of the chassis' that nrg has done in the welding/ fab forum and they are all top notch. this is just my $.02.

weve been mistaken, i see your point, if you would go to their website you would see they focus on their Pro Modified class 350 z, and do pretty much all import chassis building , if you wanna take a look i posted their website, check ouit their z top notch http://www.xtremeracecars.com

..your right, thats how i feel about chassis shops that do "American and import"
that there is always gonna be that bias feeling. Kinda like S-K speed, which caters to American cars, but also sells import stuff also.
..........And the only thing "UNcool" is Frontin and Lyin..........
