G-Force 2002 Pro RWD Prelude Photo Shoot and Specs by: GRS Motorsports

GRS-Motorsports.com visited Long Machine & Tool facilities in Cleon Pennsylvania and met the G-FORCE Pro RWD Prelude owned by Mike Long from Levanon, PA

It’s a 2002 Honda Prelude full tube chassis built by Way Cool Race Cars in Lancaster, PA. Everything from chassis, interiors, lexan windows, wiring, plumbing, intercooler pipes, paint and other details were done at the same shop.

The car still has the original Honda body panels even rear bumper cover and working head and tail lights. The one piece front end was originally built on carbon Kevlar by WCRC but then it was modified by Pimar Fiberlgass.

Some of its chassis components are a set of front Strange adjustable struts with Weld Racing Aluma Star 15 X 3.5 wheels and 24.0 X 5.0 X 15 Good Year Tires. At the back a Strange 4.56 ratio rear end with Strange double adjustable shocks and a set of Weld 15 X 14 wheels with 32.5 X 17 X 15 Good Year slicks.

The interiors are a combination between carbon fiber and aluminum, a fiber glass dash with a Race Pack with all the options

The H22A engine was designed by John Lingenfelter back in the days. The cylinder head was ported with a 5 axis CNC machine. Long Machine built many replicas on their shop. The cylinder head was bench tested at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering were John said that it out flow the ECOTech head and if the engine was tuned right it could run 6's and near 200 MPH since he accomplished it on his Pro RWD Cavalier 7 years ago.

Ferrea valvetrain all around with a set of Crane Cams VTEC Killers and Ferrea rockers. JE Pistons on Pauter Rods with Dalton Sleeves, Stock Honda crankshaft. Still 2.2L assembled by Jaime "Negro Racing" Cruz a GForce Transmission dealer. This engine is designed for 10,800 rpm but for now they only will be pushing it to 8,500 rpm. Way Cool Race Cars built turbo manifold holds a 74mm Precision T&E Turbo with a T4 .96 A/R and a S shaft. HKS 60mm waste-gate and 50mm Tial BOV. Cooling system consists of a Meziere Enterprises electric water pump and radiator.

Gato Performance Intake Manifold with a Weldon electric fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. The engine management system consist of a Big Stuff ECU tuned by Jorge "Oso Tech" Juarbe. The results were 1035 whp at 43 psi without the water cooler. Oso said that it should gain around 30 to 40 extra horse power with the water cooler since it runs on Q16 fuel. A modified Dry Sump was used to work on this reverse rotation engine.

RAM adjustable twin 7" clutch kit was used with a G-Force 5R Reverse Rotation 5 spd clutchless transmission.

The car weights 1,950 lbs w/o driver and last weekend at the 16th Annual Pan American Nationals made his first full pass with 1.19 @ 60', 5.10 @ 660' and 7.89 @ 179 MPH low shifting the engine since they still tuning the suspension.

We asked Long about his future plans with the car and he wants a consistent 7.40's and 7.50's Maybe in a future a bigger turbo will be installed and the RPM and boost will be raise to run those 6 seconds and reach 200 MPH
