Default Tire size for slicks???

Looking to get my first set of slicks. Debating whether to get 13x8 or 15x8 rims. Was looking at Bassett rims. What would be the best backspacing? Any suggestions would help. Thank you

‘ if you can share your setup it will help, depending on your power levels and gearing will determine what’s best. 13 inch will allow for more meat and wrinkles which will result in better times, but if you don’t have enough power the 15’s could be as good or better. I personally use VMS racing wheel and really like them, great price for the quality they are

Fully built CSS LSV Precision 6262. Don't know gear ratio. Think an LS trans. No twin disc and 1200cc injectors so I'm gonna see what power level I'll get to with the clutch and the injectors hoping over 500hp+

hmmm 1200cc will probably run out around 500 on e85 I’m guessing. I’m using 2200cc and I’m at 58% duty around 650. No doubt I would use 13x8 or 13x9 rims 24.5x9x13 would be your best combo, but fitting might be a issue. You for sure could use a 23x8x13 with no issues but might run out of gear depending on rev limit and have to go into 5th. I had to cut my fenders to get my car lowered with a 24.5x9x13 slick with a 13x8 rim. I had the car raised all the way up just to fit under and they would have hit as soon as I drove it

Ok. Guess it's time for bigger injectors. I have no problem cutting my fenders to fit. I appreciate the input. Thanks for the reply
