Default Fuel cell question

I recently bought a 15 gallon fuel cell from jegs. It came with a sending unit and foam. Is it possible for me to just take the foam out? The sloshing of fuel isn't that big of a deal to me, but i read that the foam can break. Thanks

I would just leave the foam, it helps prevent the fuel from moving too much and starving the line. Even for a second that can be bad. I have never seen or heard of it coming apart.

All you need to do is wash the tank out with the foam installed to get all the loose particles in the tank out. Keep the foam in, it is only there to help.
