That's exactly what I want to do. I am going to see if I can weld a nut to the bottom of the top support so all I would need to do is use a bolt to fasten it together.

I started to make fender mounts. Seems to be the only way to get it to fit correctly.

Got my front end the other week. Haven't had time to take/load any pics till now, but here are the preliminary fitment pics. It was a used front end, so I knew it would fit, just didn't know if there was gonna be any issues for me and my personal taste. But I think it will fit nice when supported properly.

for straight off the shelf front end my exospeed lined up pretty well IMO....the driver side needed a little "fab" (nothing a few taps from a hammer didnt solve) the front bumper doesnt line up 100% exact. I think the front end of my car has been hit before , but we are making a small plate to correct for the miss mounting positions. all in all I'd say we had 2 hours in getting everything to line up.

More pics...I have a 2000 civic coupe, and and I just cut away my lower rad support to make room for my new intercooler as well as move my rad to make some room for my new downpipe...I have to box off my frame rails, and I'd love to have some pics or tips from someone who's done this to go by. My upper rad support that has the factory hood latch and attached headlight mounts is a bit floppy now so I need to support it somehow...I was thinking of tacking some 3/8 round stock underneath it to strengthen it....I really liked the idea someone has earlier about modding it so you could unbolt it all together, so if anyone can help out, it would be much appreciated...thanks

My upper rad support is unboltable. Where the 2 spot welds are on each side I drilled them completely through and welded 10mm nuts on the back side.

Here's what we did to make removal/install a lot easier. Upper core support bolts right back into place using alignment holes so there's no guess work. Ill try to get more pics of the front end up

Not greatest pics of it but this is the front (pan) area we made to mount the intercoooler/radiator and it also supports the bottom of the bumper all around.

Cool Pics, thats awesome looking...So where are the alignment holes you used? on either side on the upper core support that is factory spot welded to the frame? I picked up my steel plate today to box off those frame rails..

So can you post some pics for me? Those two spot welds on each side, once you drilled them out, did the upper support come out easy? Thanks

I really liked how you guys did this. I took some pics of it at IFO a few weeks back. I really want to be able to make my core support removable, just to make life easier. lol

Thanks. It's been a lot easier, less time, and can work on anything on the front of the motor no problems. Don't need a hoist to pull motor now. There is no drawback with it.

We did 4 alignment holes 1/8". One one each upper side where the fender bolts to the core and one each side right where it bolts to where the factory reinforcement bar used to be. We put it on slide 4 1/8" rivets in the holes to use as alignment pins and bolt down. That way it's in the same spot every time
