First dragstrip experience...
I definitely have some driving practice to do before I get any good at drag racing. My launches were not good. I either didn't give it enough or gave it too much and spun them out like crazy. I did learn that i can indeed chirp 2nd and 3rd gear tho
My setup:
1995 Civic CX with full interior, A/C, only the spare tire has been removed. Subwoofer box makes up for that weight, however.
-2nd gen B16A
-Password whale ***** CF short ram, Skunk2 Pro intake mani
-eBay header, RS-R exmag catback, Thermal R&D hiflow cat
-Skunk2 springs/retainers, SuperTech flat valves
-.5mm head gasket.
-Koni Yellows/Eibach ProKit
-Falken Ziex ZE512's on 15x6.5 11lb wheels

That was my friend with the R/T Stealth. He's always telling me he thinks my car is faster, I never believed him. Now I do. The Corvette... yeah right.
Any comments send em my way. Please keep the flaming to a minimum.
EDIT: changed picture URL's to my new domain/host just set up today

Haha! That's actually the only thing that made me feel better about that run. I wanna see if my friend will lend me his Falken Azenis next time I go, see if I can get some better traction with those.

i run the same tires, 205/50/15 Falken Ziex's running 18psi. And i was cutting 1.94 60ft times. once they got hot, the were softer and hooking better than my buddies BFG drag radials. Those tires are the **** and their cheap. You just need more seat time. Good job though man.

Oh yeah, I had a blast. I'm definitely going back. Nothing like being able to LEGALLY floor the crap outta car and not worry about cops or anything like that. And it definitely shows you how bad of a driver you really are, haha. At least from a racing point of view.

Where area are you from? I know ppl drive from upwards of an hour or more to go there to race, just curious.
I'm pretty sure I can hit high 14's with a better start and revving closer to redline instead of shifting at 7300 like I was. I wasn't sure where my redline really was or where I stopped making power, so I was shifting there to be safe. Now I know it's 8200 and I pretty much make power all the way there. And shifting later will drop me higher into the next gear
Can't wait for next time!

Besides my crappy driving, the only thing I didn't do is listen for vtec engaging. I never ever drive my car hard enough to engage it normally so it would be something I would have to actively listen for. I do have a fairly constant knock sensor CEL but the car drive 100% still, and vtec still engages when I want it too usually. But I suppose could be a faulty wiring harness and vtec may not always be engaging, I don't know. Could that cause the times I got to be as slow as they were?
