Icon7 FIRST DRAG BUILD!!! ADVISE!!

Background:
HT it has been a long time since Ive been in the scene (6 years)and with my current lifestlye I forgot what it was to have a hobby. Lately my main focus has been financial growth which finally got me to a strong annual income ,but a huge failure when it comes to my quality of life.
Current:
With that said I want to build a 500hp turbo b18c its been a dream of mine. So the other day I bought a 94 GSR civic eg for $3500. What sold me was the motor was purchased from hmotors a year ago and left completely stock and in that dark eg blue with all the carbonfiber Jdm bling. After looking into ordering a LSD,pistons and rods also considering to sleeve the block I stepped back to realize I don't believe I'm going about this the right financial way....... I bought a Beautiful EG to cut up to Drag race where I can buy a race frame with a roll cage for $1500 after loooking ALOT. (I don't care for another DD already have 2 DDs....)

SO your opinion should I sell my Gsr Civic I just bought last week and start building a motor on the side and worry about a frame when I have the motor complete?

Or

Keep the car and build off what I have and sell all the parts I don't use on my build?

Thank you guys its goood to be back!

greetings

theres alot of factors here but im going to keep this short

500 is obtainable "reliably" on stock sleeves with piston, rods, and race gas (and built head and correct turbo obviously)

pump gas will require sleeves

but im going off track here. i would first look into buying an already built motor/setup, will save you lots of time and money. second option would be pull the gsr out of the car you have now/build that and put a single cam/ ls in it. find another shell, do NOT cage it unless you will be racing at a track that requires correct tech inspection. (road hazard to your head and thats another 1500$+ you can put into your setup since were talking finance, imo)

I would let the car you have now go and destroy something that is half destroyed already. Find a riced out EG with a Y7 that burns oil and start there. I just saw a sleeved B18C block sell on here for $800 or so, keep an eye out for something like that and start piecing together a set up. 500 wHP is a bit, so look into supporting mods too. The LSD is a start, but suspension and tires should be something to look into too. It is a whole package, not just a motor that makes big power.
