I was just about to say. That came out of I think SCC or PooperStreet or something like a WHILE ago. Plus I doubt he was even giving them straight answers then.

[QUOTE=badCRX]Erick's is using a 76mm throttle body.

This is really hardto believe..... The inside of the GSR manifold will not take a 76mm port. (unless it is tapered to 70mm and still than you will need to modify a little of the manifold port. )

One can assume that he is at least running (on the GSR block) 95mm crank and at least an 86-87mm bore. (95x87mm will net a pubic hair over 2.2L)

Also lets consider NDRA rules. the 1.3 60 foots come from a little thing called TRACTION CONTROL! which can be installed in the hondata unit.

Also lets consider that he is no longer running the B-series motor. We all know that he has a K-series that he uses. I also have some knowledge that tells me that he was using the K-series when he was back east running the NDRA series.

Hondata has in no way shape or form traction control. And it cant be added.

No way he uses a stock gsr crank. In fact he even says now he uses a 95mm.

There are plenty of ways to hide compression and to hide displacement.

Grinch, aren't you the guy that said "Some people out there are a bunch of Haters." in the girl poison thread? So don't be a hater.

Erick isn't running traction control, he isn't running a K-series (although he will at some point in the future) - and his motor is out there to see for everyone in the pits, not to mention the guys that travel with him in the STR crew.

Of course, Hondata could just be keeping traction control secret since they clearly wouldn't want to sell any more product by adding a feature like that....

Might want to call Alaniz too and ask them how big a TB they can fit on a manifold for you. Might be surprised.

Haha yes, we take apart his car on every road trip to see his new engine combos before every race and have it back together in time for the race

who cares? are u racing erick? are you getting smoked by him? Did he have unprotected sex with ur sister? if you answered no to any of those questions, then you shouldnt care if he is running a k series motor or traction control...

Yeah, what's his stroke now, 102 mm? I know you guys measure it

For any of you who haven't hung around with the STR gang, stop by the pits some time. They're good folk.

C_A_T: I am not hating on Erick or any part of his affiliation(s). I have the utmost respect for who he is and what he has contributed to the racing scene.

I may in fact have miss stated about the hondata and the traction control issue. I am in full acknowledge of this.

As for the K-series being ran, let's just say that it was a wrong source of information than.

If he use 25" Slicks and ITR Gearbox with the 4th gear of 1.034 with 4.9 Final Gear ( According to Honda Tuning Articles about Erick ) and he run it ONLY to 9000 Rpm , He already can go for 131 mph. So according to me with Eric New Set Up with 2.2 L , He ONLY FINISH with 4th Gear and he do not need to use his 5th Gear.

God Bless U
