Well I don't know how recent the topic has been brought up but last time I remember the only thing I think people knew was a 2.1L GSR motor, 70mm throttle body, some crazy ported secret GSR manifold (doubtful butterflys are in place), TODA Spec D's and stock ignition and Hondata. I don't think the block or any port work or anything else has really been disclosed.

You can figure 95-98mm crank with very high compression and still runs gas. Plus you won't find a better WORKING chassis in all motor

I'd like to see his custom pistons...prolly a 1-ring job with a huge custom dome.

Erick is still on gas.

At the NDRA events he's classed as having somewhere around 2.2 liters (which they check by pumping).

Head/manifold by Alaniz

Toda D cams

Hondata

Erick has all his piston/rod/crank setups done custom, so I doubt you'll ever get any useful info on that.

And Earl is right on with the chassis. You'll see other guys running similar trap speeds (Mohler, L'Natural, Bisi, etc.), but no one gets out of the hole and through the 1/8th like Erick does.

So the fact that TODA and everywhere that sells D's claims they made them specificaly for Eric is just all hype? No sarcasm, just wandering.

No, he's using Toda D's. We retuned his car on my dyno after he did the install. The Toda D grind is based on Erick's own custom grind.

AKH/Toda is one of Erick's sponsors and they did a deal to retail his grind.

I wouldn't put too much credence in those bore/stroke numbers either :-)

I remember a while back, he was featured in a magazine, and they said he was running around the area of 14:1, or 15:1 compression ratio. Might have changed his setup, or told the magazines lies to keep it secret, but thats what i heard.

The big lobes on the Spec D's are copied directly from Erick's old custom grind.

Well first of all, Erick does his own tuning. He just uses my dyno and I offer a little advice here and there. The guy knows exactly what he wants out of the engine.

Second, I can't tell you anything about his numbers. That's confidential information. Occasionally he will publish a dyno sheet, but usually after he's already moved on to his next engine iteration.

C_A_T</TD></TR></TABLE>The 2.2 is open knowledge as it is placed on a sticker put on his car by NDRA. You can find a volume calculator and play with the numbers and figure out his combination. 87 mm (could be less) would be about the largest bore you could run so fill in the blanks and the world can have his combination. That will give you about 1% of his combo

Alaniz does Erick's head and as for the bore and stroke i can pretty much guarantee it's bigger, that's juss what he wants you to know or think...

Erick's is using a 76mm throttle body. Just because he sells 70mm ones, doesn't means he uses it. That info came from either Alaniz or Erick, I don't remember who said it at the time. Unfortunately my micrometer wasn't with me either.
