I am building a car and I would like to have a clean simple engine bay. I would like to weld a couple of the coolant ports to simplify the engine and bay.
The car will be running a thermostat and heater core without valve. I would like to close the port on the intake, ports going to the iacv, and one of the ports on the thermostat housing. Basically I will be running a hose from the head to the heater core, then from the core to the one and only open port on the thermostat housing. Will this overheat the engine or cause problems?

I took the water pipe off the back of the engine and welded everything shut except oil cooler port and that bypass hose to T-stat housing, but I run no T-stat, heater core, IACV, etc. I also welded shut the coolant port going into the cylinder head as well.
I do get some overheating when the car spends a lot of time sitting still, but I usually just shut it off sitting in the staging lanes anyway. I do have a cheap *** dinky radiator and fan that doesnt help things anyway. It only sees track use anyway.
