Have you tried the new software on the ver1? AEMTUNER The original was a little more difficult to use.

If Im not mistaken but the Ems is a universal piece meaning it's not plug and play, so you would need the harness also. http://www.aemelectronics.com/engine...ent-system-58/

The Ems 4 has a few bugs in that it shuts off at random and also it just fails connect at times. We contacted AEM and we were told that they should have it sorted in a months time still waiting though.

Why would you go with the universal box if there are plug and play options?

Boost by MPH has always been available on both versions. Works very well and you can fine tune the control better then most systems that only give you per gear only control. (In my opinion)

ok this might be hard to understand but boost by vss isnt my thang i want to go bbg, and i understand that this or that might be a better option to use for measuring out the amount of boost but its what i want. I am not buying more epxensive *** sensors just to run vss properly.

its like this motec or s300 thats what most the 8 second cars are running now, and the s300 guys are using bbg its a great oprion to have and use for boost and hard to argue with those facts alone i think.

i am not trying to run 8's i dont have that type of cash flow so im happy with low 10's high 9's. i go to ifo just to race and have fun no matter that outcome. i personally dont think there is a class other than bracket for the smaller guys and im ok with having fun on them as well lol.

if you have integra rear disc you can. all you need is one hub with a ring on it and a sensor that will bolt in the hub( i have several if you need one) and there is a really good write up on the aem forum on how to set it up

see right now im off the speed sensor in the tranny, and its the only thing we can think of thats causing me short track issues

i have went 7.1@105 in the 1/8th and 10.8@145 after that

same place has tuned cars with less power killing me in the 1/8th and 1/4 mile time with the same mph.

i have always been on the v1 with boost by vss, and we tried at the track with my tuner to get it dialed in and working for me but it has never had good short track times period and im sick of. i know the v1 is hit or miss, and the v2 seems to be alot better, but if i set 10psi in 1st gear i know ill get it and not depend on the speed

Could be alot of other things that hurt your short track. doubt its the AEM. could be just that the perticular person setting it up is more familiar with other systems

nope not at all they had the same identicle box in there crx running 9.2 cutting 1.54 60's thats not it at all

alot of people wanna seem to defend this company and im not saying its the company im saying its the version of the box

especially when so many other people have came on and said they have had nightmares with this version as well.

there is only 2 things that determine anything on a car

ecu, and on mine the ignition box and my m&w pro14 is perfectly fine

the problem i have always seen with using the vss is its set off of speed. so lets say your spin bad aem thinks it the next gear so adds more boost. you spin more. then you shift, speed drops way down aem opens wastegate to get boost back down and now you have to spool the turbo back up...just what i have run into. not saying yours is doing the same

It still sounds like its in the setup. Do the logs show it falling out of boost when you launch? is the VSS signal clean?

logs show it falling from 7700-3500 for some reason like i said my tuner who is pretty accomplished went to the track with me and we made no progress with it at all

we tried alot, and it never came up at all so yeah its falling out of vtec at launch wich will lead to boggin of course, but still all this should be able to be controlled through the ecu or atleast corrected unfortunately it didnt.

i have also had 3 differant built long blocks on this management system they all have had the same issue.

I'm guessing its possible that you have a problem with your perticular ecu.

kinda what i have been thinking the entire time like i said i ahve read alot of people having issues with the v1, and im liking what i see in the v4, but since it is taking its time the v2 might be more what i lean toards vss is easy to setup and since im on cop and a t1 trigger the v2 looks good. people have seemed to be really impressed with v2 as well
