I was looking at Chris Millers NRG tech civic hatch and i noticed he had no Vtec solenoid? Can someone explain this to me if they know?
I noticed he said he has custom cams and modified rock arms. Does that have something to do with it?

There's no need for the vtec function if your engines rpm's never drop below say 5k. So guys with big money and even bigger aspirations modify their heads to lessen the mass of all the moving parts.

My ferrea rocker arms utilizes a single lobe instead of twin lobes like web.

That bolts to the head where the power steering used to. That senses a magnet in the cam gear, and tell the compute what the rpm is. Everything else can be take off of the other side of the motor now. And this kit is more accurate as well.

I'd also like to see him change his name so vtec was spelled properly, being the vtec expert he is. Originally Posted by xohcef
