i say e85, both support a ton of power. i made 800 with 110. Now im switching to e85 to see how that rolls since ive talked to successful users.

E85 willl make more power. I switched from E85 to 110 on a car I was tuning (because the 110 was closer). E85 made 20whp more with same tune, just tuned for fuel. 110 was much easier on the ignition system (we ran a larger gap with 110).

I have no experience with 110 •but I know E85 will lower your EGTs and make your turbo spool slightly faster

A lot of people switch to e85 for the price reduction vs power handling. That Rocket **** is 9$ a gallon when it gets to your door.

are u asking this question? or are u just seeing if the others in this thread actually know why?

if it pretains to the octane rating, ethanol (E85) is only rated at about 105. which doesent change power anyway

stoich is lower, meaning you can burn more of it, burning more fuel in the same ammount of given air efficiently = more power?
am i right or did infact smoke crack today? hahaa

hell fuel cars are 1.x:1 a/f

never gave it much thought just kinda knew it.

remember BTU is per LB/gallon ect, if u have a lower stoic, then ur burning more fuel correct? what happens to BTU as u burn more fuel?

E85 any day of the year over a Sunoco or even a VP 110. I've made similar and more power on E85 than C16 on multiple cars. So far 898whp SAE

i run E85 from the pump make 641 whp everyday on a road car. and it was $2.32 yesterday at the pump. and something i have noticed since i have been using it for a while now the engine oil stay's cleaner longer , water temps at cruising are lower that on gas and egt's are retarded low.

because it contains oxygen. C2-H5-O-H is the molecular formula for ethonal.

dashed lines are e85. solid lines are vp race fuel(110 or 112. its been 3 yrs so i cant remember off the top of my head) AFR tuned for both. ign timing left the same so maybe that could have helped the VP. both done on the same day. superflow engine dyno. cbr 600cc turbocharged engine with 19mm restrictor. take it for what its worth i guess.

yep. when you compare the prices of 110 and C16 to E85 its hard not to choose E85 seeign as how you can make similar if not more power than either alternative. almost all the cars out here in Colorado use E85 and daily drive with it because there are so many pumps that carry it here. we made just under 600 and drove it around all the time getting around 29mpg as long as w dont get one it lol. feels good to only have to spend around around 25 bucks for a full tank before you head to the track or for a drive around town instead of around 120 bucks for C16 lol.
