Default Drag Radials

Hey everyone, a friend and i were thinking of buying a set of drag radials to take to the track so we arent constantly burning up his street tires. The car is an 06 civic DX with eibach sportlines,a c.a.i.,custum 2 1/2 inch exhaust from the cat back, comptech ss. we really dont know anything about radials, what do you guys suggest?

what size, brand, and what psi do would you set them at?

i know its a real "newb" topic but thanks for any feedback...

go with the 225/50/15's. that way if you upgrade you still will be good.

The best 60ft I managed with the BFG drag radials was a 2.203, the end result was a 13.8.

225's are overkill
205's will do fine for a while...

205's are 22"
225's are 23.9"

anytime you go to the track, lower your pressure and launch your car,you are going to burn your tires up. It would just be nice to have something to throw on,get better traction and not have to worry about it..

edit: also..thanks for the info guy

maybe if you are lowering pressure a **** load....which is not gonna help street tires anyway since they have stiff sidewalls and lowering the pressure causes the shape of the tire to deform usually causing worse traction but I guess each to their own.
