i have an 01 gsr with ctr intake cam, AEM CAI, and zex dry 75 shot, and azenis. i plan on goin to tha track in a couple of weeks. ne1 have any advice? i was thinkin of running open header or atleast unbolting my stock exhaust and running on race gas. any tips? thanks in advance

 

Sup I would try running with and without exhaust. You really need the back pressure from the exhaust system. Sounds like a really nice set up too. I have a single cam I have run with and without exhaust, and have a 75 shot running 14'38. I have yet to get slicks. I have also have the same tire, w/ 10psi in them.

does running open header open up some extra HP? or is it pointless

 

Open haders on a realatively stock stup will kill low end power. However on the top end of the powerband with nitrous you should be able to pull around 5-10HP. I would think the gains would be minimal, Maybe a tenth of a second?
