Default double flare tool

for those of you who have relocated or redid your brake lines, did you use a metric double flaring tool? if so, where did you get it? im having trouble looking for one. thank you. or does the standard 3/16" flare get the job done?

Double flare tool works better. It doesn't make the end of the line split like the single flare does. You can get it from Matco...or, I'm sure you can find one on SJ discout tools website too.

You can find them at Lowes, Home Depot, or any hardware store. You should always double flare brake lines.

i was using a double flaring tool, i wanted to know if anyone has used the standard 3/16" instead of buying a metric sized one. i would never use a single flaring tool

I only use a double flare as well, and yes SAE works fine. All my brake/clutch hardlines are done this way.
