When did the open?

 

We'll be out there with our lil Eg for some fun.. Gonna be a great time. We went last time and Paul and the gang put on a great event. Won some money last time too. I encourage anyone in SoCal to attend. If not for racing action, at least spectating. Come support our sport!

Wow! What a **** day. The winds were like 25 mph and had sand spraying all over the track . To make matters worse the wind was faceing the cars on the track. Everyone ran slower than normal. Then the computers went down and there was no way to stage the cars or track times. Nothing but problems.
However, Paul got the situation under control and had the stage guys flag the cars. To make it easier he combined the All Motor, Turbo and Nitrous cars into one class and had the street car guys in another. The competition was good in the faster classes with some people even arguing who won. Our igniter in our distributor failed causing us to pull out of the race. Too bad cause the car was running hard and probably could have won. Props to Paul @ At Large Racing for making it a fun day even with all the B.S. He says he'll be doing another event in March so look out for the info. Hopefully the weather will be a little more forgiving.

 

I went to Fontana to race in the Summit series and had a great day on Saturday, but the racing for Sunday was called off due to high winds. By the time I packed up all the stuff it was too late to go to Perris. It was bad enough at Fontana that they just told everyone to go home.

 

that sucks because there was no winds in south LA.

 

This event sucked ***. The wind was too much.

Thats a buddy of mine. that car looks like *** but it moves pretty good.

That Colt sure was fast. Too bad our distributor took a crap on the line. I would have like to run that Colt. He was running just as fast as we were. It might be a fun race. Still , he was handing alot of people their asses. Except for the white hatch that had SWOOP SQUAD on it. That hatch was fast too. Either way, for doin it different.

nice to see there is a new track in the works - from the sounds of things san diego 1/8 mile deal is back to having money issues and this time might not be able to pull out like they did in the middle of last summer.

 

I heard about that too. Sucks. Perris is open every Friday night for racing. Only an 1/8th,but still fun. Track hooks up....sometimes.
