Default A day at PRP

Not that anyone cares, but I'll say it anyway. I went to PRP (Pittsburgh Raceway Park) for my first time since quaker city closed. My 1st run of the day was the best run yet. Its confusing tho, I ran a 13.2 @ 116. My buddy ran a 12.8 in his srt-4 at like 110mph. He had a 2.2 60ft, and mine was a 2.3. Both on street tires. I dont really understand how traps work. Can anyone explain, help a brotha out without being a dick about it. Atleast im in the drag racing forums. Was anyone from here there? thanks guys, what should I be running with a 116 trap? with traction that is lol

just because you ran a 116mph, doesnt mean you will run the same mph even with the best traction. what can happen is, with what you have now, you are spinning and getting a higher MPH in the end. when you do finally hook well, lets say with slicks, you may get a lower mph but a better 1/4 mile time of course.

I'm going to take a guess, that if you hit a 1.8 60 ft, you'll get a 12.40-12.50 @112 mph. Thats the range you'll be at in the best track and car condition.

ok thanks exospeedAMcrx. HA yeah man, that was me. I was right beside you. It was alright, too bad I only had one good run, missed 2nd both other times I ran. Was hoping for 12's but, oh well. I ran better times missing a gear, than my best time at quaker. LOL. But I miss how much closer quaker was. I dont think I saw a lightning bro. Sounds good hondacivic946. She outta be a monster!

****, 116mph should be good for least some 12.0's. I was going 12.50's with 111mph traps and 1.9 60's.

thats honda love right there man. lol. Thanks for the boost of confidence man, I really hope I get down in times with slicks. What all did you have for traction? Did you have limited slip, or traction bars? I need all of it. This was even on stock suspension
