DA 5.9 issue
i ordered some 5.9s with hubs and studs directly from dss and the hub will not fit it pushed the back bearing race out and i tried pulling them together with the axles and a big impact it wont work is there a different spindle or bearing combination its a 91 integra
you need to put a large socket 36mm or bigger in back when your pressing it back in. if it made it in the front of the bearing thats your problem!
Why would the rear inner bearing race be smaller than the front?
That is improbable... I have worked on a lot of Honduhs and never seen that before in my life.
It sounds like you made a noob mistake when replacing the bearing and did not support the inner race from the back side when installing.

i havent replaced the bearing at this point but the factory hub slides into the rear bearing race but the dss hub wont btw when i speak of bearing race im talking the part that keeps the grease in on the back my factory hub has a place that keeps the grease in on the front

it's pretty rare that you can remove a honda hub without the outer race being stuck to it. You've got nice new 5.9's, put new bearings in. and like someone else mentioned, support the inner race when pressing the hub into the new bearing.
they have to be pressed in. when i got my 5.9 they sent me hubs that had to be milled down they swore they were for DA but when i measured them and gave them info they asked for them back and sent me them again properly milled
If im reading this correctly i think your having the same problem i just had. DSS make 2 different hubs one for stock civic spindles which requires a smaller wheel bearing. The wheel bearing has a smaller i.d. and smaller o.d. on the civic hub/spindle. If you have integra of si hubs your going to need the bigger hub that DSS makes because you wont be able to cross reference a big bearing o.d.(for the integra spindles) with a small bearing i.d(for the civic hubs) to make those hubs fit your integra spindles
If you are putting DA hubs in a DA, you need DA wheel bearings. On mine, the hub was a hair too large on the last lip, so when I pressed it together the hub was binding on the spindle. but that doesnt seem to be your issue
i had the same issue brand new DA bearings brand new DA dss hubs and binding frank is the one who told me to send mine back. Once i received them from him 2nd time they worked.
alright well im email back and forth with frank currently i asked him if the hubs needed to be milled as you said he told me to call but no one answered im awaiting a phone call i havent had time to measure my hub bore at this moment so ill see what i can come up with tonight or tomorrow i may just need new wheel bearings but i swear it looks like my bearing race for the front is made onto the factory hub
