DA 3 piece front ends
Alright ... I know DA's are the bastards of the drag racing scene, but does anyone know where I can find a 3 piece front end for the DA Integra's? I heard a rumor that Exospeed is working on something, but I haven't been able to get a hold of Wil to confirm this.

I've been seeing this post for years now ... I understand there is a business risk with making this front end, but I wouldn't see him having a problem selling at least 10
I am down for a 3pc front end. I don't care who gets it done first I just want one already.Count me in for one.
Figure it this way. We had the same issues with the EF front end. And we would have say 20 people comment that they were down. When it came time to get deposits with real commitment, there would be 4 left (just estimated numbers for example). I think the only reason that he ended up doing it, was someone decided to buy 5 themselves, not including all of the people that Wil knew were serious on here.
So figure you have 5 or 6 in here. When it comes time to bite the bullet, only 2 of you will probably have the money (again, this is just a proportional estimate based on the past).
I hated hearing this when it was going on with the EF front end. But I understand what hes saying. But I do remember hearing a while back, that the DA front end was in the plans or works for the near future. So hopefully it happens before race season for you guys.

August 22, 2011, Exospeed Racing posted this on FB:
"Yes.. we're making the 90-93 DA front ends. Just to let you all know. email us at sales@exospeed.com if interested."
So maybe shoot them an email, and see what the progress is.

i just personally spoke with wil saturday he will not be making it unless people commit i posted that earlier in this thread strada said his should be done soon and i will order from there
We've been going back and forth on this DA front end since we started making kits 3 years ago. We have tried to make it happen but everytime I want to get something started, the people on our list flake out or are not ready yet. The EF HB stepped up and we made it happen with no problems. That one came out with great fitment and we were happy we made that. We've already sold almost 2 dozen of those kits since summer.
We have the car, the extra bumper, fenders and even a rendering for it. We have the capability to do this but we dont have the people to commit. It takes time to do these things and its not something we're just going to do just to do it. To be honest, the composite products is only 10% of our business and its not the right move to make something like this, spend time on it and gamble that only 5 people will actually want it the first 6 months. Any smart business person wouldnt do it knowing there is limited sales.
All of the DA guys that have been interested has contacted us because they want us to make it due to our quality and best fitment of all our kits. As much as we would like to fulfill your requests, you guys have to take the step forward to make something happen as well. You all know what I proposed and there wasnt any out of pocket loss if you didnt like the outcome of the kit. So there is no loss if you end up not wanting it. We just want a commitment to just start it.
Well you all know were we stand. If you still want us to make it let us know by email(sales@exospeed.com) If not and someone else decides to do it. Not a big deal to us.

I have the ExoSpeed front for my SRT-4 (currently being painted) and the fitment was damn near %100 spot on. Only took a little bit of trimming. A buddy of mine took it upon himself to get it made for the SRT-4 by ExoSpeed, which I'm very thankful for. If you DA guys decide to step up it's by all means worth it. But this is Honda-Tech so you guys know their quality is top notch already.
I completely agree with you ... I'm not sure how many people have put down deposits with Exospeed for the front end. Maybe Wil can tell us how many people he needs to commit before starting production on the molds.
I am willing to put a deposit down on a front end.
I definitely think Exospeed makes a superior product. Im impressed with the fitment of my EF front end. If you guys had the chance, I would try and get the Exospeed front end going.
I know that i sent an email to exospeed when the offer was first made and would definitely purchase one when they come out. I have a DA and a DB2, neither of which will leave my possession anytime soon.
I got in for the ef front right away we got two fiberglass fronts one for paul and curtis I got a carbon one a month or two later all you gotta do it get your chips together and a few guy with a da and get with wil and make it happen... good company and they support our sport I talked to the other guy and he couldn't even show me a picture of theirs.
Also the materials are not cheap and I could only imagine the labor for making the mold.. these guys aren't millionaires you gotta pay to play get the man some dough and he will get it done.
