D bars legality?
For those of you who have had your cages inspected, which way did you do it and did you pass certification? For soem reason, I can't access the NHRA rulebook on their site.
Excuse the sloppy drawings as I wasn't looking to win an art contest.

that bar has to run from the rocker sill to sill, not between the bottom of the main hoop. Mine is done with the plates on the tunnel, but it expires in 2 years and a rework may be done to make it certify again, apparently its a tech by tech basis on whether youll pass or not with it going to plates r running to a cross bar. CONSULT YOUR CAGE TECH THAT WILL INSPECT IT, FIND OUT WHAT THEY WANT TO SEE IN YOUR SETUP, or just do the cross bar. I consulted when i did mine but this was before the rule became "official"
my insoector told me to go to plates on the floor, the d bars were left out til he said to do that.
BUT technically it isnt the way it is supposed to be. so when the tag rins out, i will be updating with thesill to sill bar and putting the d bars there.

this is teh picture I sent NHRA in an email:

and this was the answer that I got. So if I do this, and the inspector won't pass it, will this email help me or won't do squat for me?

Exhibit 1 is perfect, that is exactly how it is supposed to be done.

I'm changing some things around for this year though. If you're on either coast the rules are going to be way more strict. Since the guys in the middle don't get as much action, they can pretty much do whatever they want.

Little IHRA hick track we got. FWD they let go 10.99 til they require any kind of cage.
Seen a guy in Shelby Replica's hit low 11's on 3 passes before they said anything about a helmet to him.

My apologize, you are correct it must be attached to the rocker box; not the main hoop.
